The conversation

A short answer stays in the box on Home; anything longer opens a conversation. Conversations are saved, named for you, and found again from Home and from Projects.

The box on Home and the conversation view are the same thing at two sizes. You never choose between them — the answer decides.

Short answers stay on Home

Ask something with a short answer — where a setting is, whether something is possible — and the reply appears in the box itself, under what you wrote. When the answer is about a place in ANVL there is a button straight to it.

Under the answer is Open the conversation, which takes the exchange into the full view if you want to go on.

Anything longer opens the conversation

Write on after a short answer, or ask for something that needs room — a plan for the month, a list of ideas, a draft you want to read before anything is built — and the box glides into the conversation view. Your messages sit on the right, ANVL's on the left, with lists and headings rendered properly, and the field stays at the bottom of the screen.

The answer arrives word by word. If you have seen enough, stop it with the button in the field. If you scroll up while it is still writing, the view leaves you where you are and offers New below instead of dragging you down.

Conversations are saved

Every conversation is saved as it happens — Saved automatically in the top bar is the whole of it. ANVL names the conversation after its first answer; rename it from the menu on the title if the name is wrong, and star it if it is one you will come back to.

You find them again in three places:

Recent conversations on Home

The latest ones, under the box, with how many messages each holds.

Projects → Conversations

All of them, in the same list as everything else you have made. See Projects and review.

The switcher in the top bar

The menu on the conversation's title lists the recent ones, New conversation (Ctrl+N), and a link to the full list in Projects.

Ask it to do things

What you otherwise do in menus can be asked for in a sentence: send something for review or remind someone, approve or ask for changes on what is waiting for you, download a PDF or an image, present, share or close a public link, restore from the trash or an earlier version, duplicate. The conversation answers with a card that says exactly what will happen, with a button — nothing runs until you press it.

Send the deck to my manager shares it inside the workspace or sends it for review, and asks who and which project when more than one fits; a public link only comes when you ask for a link. Show my images gives a gallery in the thread. Make a shorter version of the deck builds a new deck from the old one's text and leaves the original as it is.

It answers about you, too. What do you know about us reads back your saved facts with the date each was confirmed, and that's no longer true retires one without deleting it. What is missing in our brand kit answers from the same measurement as the Brand Kit page.

Type /help for the whole list. It costs nothing.

What goes into the field

Text, and also files. The two buttons under the field — Document and Image — attach a PDF, Word, Excel or CSV file for ANVL to build a deck from, or a picture that has to be in what you order. A document is read before anything is built. If it is not something to build from — brand guidelines, a template, a form — the conversation asks what it is for.

Links, too. Paste a web address in a message and ANVL fetches that page and answers from it — the page's title and domain appear as a chip on your message. Build on a proposal that rests on a link builds from the page the way it does from an uploaded document. A page ANVL cannot read — a dead link, a PDF, a timeout — is said so in the thread, with the reason.

Language

ANVL follows the language you write in, not the language the app is set to. A Swedish question in an English workspace gets a Swedish answer. The top bar and the field keep the app's language.
