Give ANVL your brand

The first time you log in, ANVL asks about your brand. Your answers become your brand kit, and everything you make from then on starts there.

Onboarding starts on its own the first time you log in. You don't need to go looking for it.

The first question is whether you already have a website. The two answers lead to genuinely different routes, and the difference is worth knowing before you pick.

If you already have a website

Enter the address. ANVL reads the site while you answer six short questions — what kind of work you want more of, what you are aiming at, the words that describe you, how you sound, what gets in your way, and what you never want said.

Then it shows you the brand kit it built: your colours, your typefaces, your logo. There is one button, and it takes you into ANVL.

Nothing on that screen can be changed. It is a reveal, not a form — and that is fine, because everything on it is editable the moment you are inside, under Brand Kit → Brand.

So if a colour came out wrong, you have not agreed to it. Correcting a wrong guess is much faster than filling an empty field, which is the whole reason the reading happens first.

If you don't have a website yet

Then you build the kit from scratch, and it is a longer conversation — ten steps, in this order:

The basics

Who you are and what you do.

More about the work

Enough for ANVL to sound like it knows your business rather than your industry.

Your voice

How you sound, and what you never say.

Your logo

Early, not late — what your mark looks like shapes the colours and the type that come next. No logo yet? Skip it.

A style direction

Twelve cards with different character. Take the closest and adjust from there.

Colours

Ten palettes to choose from, or build your own.

Fine-tuning

Dials that push the style you picked one way or the other.

Graphic details

The smaller decisions — corners, edges, the texture of the thing.

Typefaces

Nine curated pairings, or your own.

Done

A summary, and then ANVL builds the kit.

It is more work than the website route, and it produces a better kit, because every answer is yours rather than inferred.

What happens next

Once your kit is saved it is live. Presentations, pages and content use your colours and typefaces automatically, and if something falls outside the brand kit you'll hear about it before you publish.

Everything you answered is editable afterwards under Brand Kit → Brand. Nothing you chose here is a decision you are stuck with.
