Setting one, changing it, and when it is worth having alongside a passkey.
Passkeys are the main way into ANVL, but you can have a password as well. From Account you can set one if you have none, or change the one you have.
When it is worth having
A password is a second way in that does not depend on a particular device. If you only have one passkey, a password is the cheapest insurance against losing the thing it lives on.
If you already have passkeys on two devices, a password adds convenience rather than safety.
Choosing one
Long beats complicated. Three or four unrelated words are both harder to guess and easier to remember than something with a symbol substituted for a letter.
Use a password manager if you have one — then the length costs you nothing.
What a password does not do
It does not replace your passkeys, and setting one does not remove them. Both work, and you use whichever the device in front of you makes easiest.
