Invite people

Inviting someone takes their email address and a role. They get a message with a link, and they are in as soon as they use it.

An invitation takes a seat straight away. That is deliberate — a seat that is promised is not free — and it is why the invite dialog tells you which seat you are spending: seat 3 of 6.

While it is unanswered

An invitation you sent sits on the Workspace page with the rest of the people, marked as invited. If they have not opened it, ANVL says so: invited, never opened. That is usually the answer to did they get it? — an unopened invitation is almost always a spam folder, not a decision.

Two things you can do with it:

Send again

Sends a fresh invitation to the same address. Use it once you have checked the address is right.

Free the seat

Cancels the invitation and gives the seat back. Use it when the person is not joining, or when you spelled the address wrong.

Removing someone

From their row. Removing takes them out of the workspace and gives their seat back. It does not delete what they made — their presentations and pages stay where they are, because they belong to the workspace, not to them.

Who can do this

Inviting, changing roles and removing are all admin actions. If you are an editor and someone needs to be added, an admin has to do it.
