Your logo

Your logo is not one file. A mark that works on a white page does not work on a dark slide, and neither works as a favicon. ANVL keeps a library of the versions you have and lets you say which one is used in each situation.

Five places a logo gets used

Site header

The default mark, used wherever nothing more specific applies. Fill this one first — with it in place everything else has something to fall back on.

On a light background

The version that holds up on white and on pale brand colours.

On a dark background

Usually the reversed one. Without it, a dark slide gets your logo in a white box, which is the most common way a good deck looks cheap.

Mono

One colour. For printing, for stamps, and for anywhere colour is not available.

Icon

The mark without the words, for small square spaces.

You do not need all five to start. Fill the primary one and ANVL uses it everywhere; add the others as you notice you need them.

Getting versions in

Four routes, all into the same library:

Upload a file

SVG works best — it stays sharp at any size and can be recoloured. PNG with a transparent background is the next best thing. A JPEG of a logo will always carry a white box with it.

Generate templates

Six vector suggestions in a deliberate mix — a wordmark, a monogram, an icon lockup, a badge — built from your brand's typeface and colours. Free, and usually enough to fill the slots while you wait for the real files.

Generate with AI

A rendered mark from what ANVL knows about your brand. These cost a few cents each, so they are a deliberate click rather than something that happens in the background.

Derive from your site header

If you have a logo but not the light or dark version of it, ANVL can build the missing one from what you already have. Usually the fastest fix for a logo that disappears on dark slides.

This one is not just an addition: a derived variant is assigned to its slot in the same click and is live immediately. Empty slots are ticked for you; you can tick an occupied one too, and it replaces what was there.

Uploads and both generators land in the library unassigned — putting one into a slot is a separate step. That separation is deliberate: you can keep an old version around without it being used anywhere.

The slots stay locked until the library holds at least one file — there is nothing to assign before that.

No logo yet

Skip it. Everything else in ANVL works without one, and a placeholder logo in every deck is worse than no logo at all.
